Report phishing

Phishing attacks come in many different forms and they can be difficult to spot. If you encounter a phishing attack, manage the threat with caution and report it to us immediately. We will carry out an investigation and deal with it promptly.

Report email phishing

If you receive a phishing email, we recommend that you follow these steps to assist our investigation and to protect your personal information:

Forward the original email to phishing@paypal.cn as an attachment (Please do not include personal data in the email).

Do not click on any links and delete the phishing email from your inbox immediately.

Report website phishing

If you visit a phishing website, we recommend that you follow these steps to assist our investigation and to protect your personal information:

Do not enter any personal information on the website.

Copy the website link (do not click on it), paste it into an email and send it to phishing@paypal.cn (Please do not include personal data in the email).

We will verify the authenticity of the website. If it is verified to be a phishing website, we will proceed to shut it down.

Report SMS phishing

If you receive a phishing SMS, we recommend that you follow these steps to assist our investigation and to protect your personal information:

Take a screenshot of the phishing SMS (including the sender's phone number).

Send the screenshot to phishing@paypal.cn (Please do not include personal data in the email).

Do not click on any website link(s) in the SMS.

Report voice phishing

If you receive a phishing call, we recommend that you follow these steps to assist our investigation and to protect your personal information:

Do not call back, login or make any account transfers.

Send a screenshot of the incoming call number to phishing@paypal.cn (Please do not include personal data in the email).

We will carry out an investigation to verify the authenticity of the phone number.
